The road to perfect etiquette is paved with good intentions… but the thoroughfare itself is chock-full of boulders and potholes, waiting to trap the unwary.
MALTA EVENT DESIGN is here to help!
Save the Date
Give your guests the opportunity to plan everything well ahead. Send your Save the Date cards at least 10 months – preferably a year – before your wedding date. This will allow guests ample time to schedule their travel plans, and, if necessary, apply for vacation leave from their place of work… and also to save up for the event.
Common Courtesy
Not all couples put up a wedding website – to make sure guests can reach you if they need to know any details about travel arrangements, etc. It would be a good idea to have a supply of maps and links to relevant information.
Money Talks
Keep in mind that a destination wedding entails extra expenses for your guests. It is, therefore, a good idea to plan off-season nuptials, to reduce costs of flights accommodation. Check out our blog on budgeting for your wedding, to get a few more tips!
Celebrations
It is perfectly fine to have a small, intimate wedding in the Maltese Islands and then celebrate your wedding again in your home country. This allows you to enjoy the most beautiful day of your life and still be able to celebrate it with all your loved ones. MALTA EVENT DESIGN will help you create your bespoke wedding.
Travel
Many guests feel stressed about booking flight tickets, and what will happen once they get here. MALTA EVENT DESIGN will help you; we liaise with travel agents to make this experience as stress-free as possible for you and your guests.
Tickets
The bride and groom should pay for the ceremony and the reception. Guests are expected to pay for their own travel arrangements.
